It took me longer to finish the book, because dystopian novels are not my strong suit. That being said, I would still call it a must-read. The novel was properly structured, takes time for you to catch on to the narrative, but once done you can’t put it down. It had its share of intense scenes, there were times I had to stop reading and go back after a while.
A lot of philosophical readings between the lines, survival instincts, and an ordinary man protagonist. Winston was the perfect lead, and the journey with him was exhausting yet amazing. I personally loved the climax, the strong message in very simple words. Could make a lot of real-world connections, raises the question - are we travelling towards a dystopian world?
