“More Days at the Morisaki Bookshop” - Book Review

Having been pretty impressed with the first part, I decided to go for the sequel. And I wasn’t disappointed!

The story picks up from where it stopped, and still maintains the realistic nature. There isn’t much room for literary analysis, because the tone is simple, real and a reflection of a wholesome life. But this book doesn’t stop there. 

It has episodes of loss, confusion, and natural overthinking. The loss here is more significant than the first version, but the ending as expected is bittersweet. 

The assortment of characters here is more diverse and there are multiple intersecting storylines. But at multiple points I personally felt it was a bit too frivolous, and droning. Otherwise, overall it was a good break from heavy themes and depressing incidents.
