I understand why its one among the four great tragedies of Shakespeare. Othello and Desdemona’s love is short lived and becomes a prey to Iago’s envy. But what really stood out to me was Iago’s character. He is practically the devil! He creates an entire story (you can’t call it just a story though, a plot or still searching for the right word) from scratch with literally zero evidence and makes Othello act based on what is going on in his head.
While sometimes it is good to think over something, there are times where we should get out of our head and talk it out to people. That is the moral I got from this play. If only Othello could have spoken all his troubles out to not just the teller (Iago) and someone else things could have gone a lot different.
