So here’s the much delayed review of R.K. Narayanan’s “The Man-eater of Malgudi”. The book began as a light read, with pleasant scenarios and an ordinary town life. But it quickly escalated to pummeling events, as the man-eater himself entered. There were times when I took a short break, because the antagonist’s actions were unnerving. But throughout the suspense remained intact.
Although the climax came almost at the last page of the book, leaving the reader expecting for more. If you are into Indian Literature then this is definitely a must-read. But if I do get a chance to meet Mr. Narayanan, I would definitely ask him to clear the suspense.
