The Palestinian Cause & Gazan Ceasefire - A Global Victory

It is now less than three days since our century’s most significant peace deal was initiated. The Israel-Palestine war that had been raging for many years before, but escalated in 2023, for the first saw Hamas and Israel Government arrive at an agreement. The two sides decided to release hostages and Israel has agreed to retreat its troops at various areas in Gaza and allow the Palestinians to return.

Most importantly, spectators await for the blockade suspending aid vehicles to be released, and the citizens of Gaza can gain access to basic needs such as food, water and medical services. Both sides have also agreed to release their respective hostages this week. The whole world is on the stands, watching as events unfold.
The Palestinian issue began as a censored fight for rights, but slowly it has grown to become a global revolution. There were numerous rounds of voting for ceasefires, and previously one put into effect, but lasted less than a day. The world also saw politicians, trained professionals, diplomatic members of the UN break down into tears over the atrocities and genocide being inflicted to children and unborn babies.
Over the past two years, the world has witnessed some of the largest protests worldwide, citizens belonging to cultures as different as day and night but all united and in solidarity for the one cause - Human Rights for Gaza!
Why is the Gazan Ceasefire a Global Victory?
It is due to this solidarity and oneness that the deal is also celebrated worldwide. There were numerous forms of protests, from marches to donations to even flotillas. Several flotillas sailed millions of miles to reach Gaza with aid - an open resistance to the man-made famine in the city.
Notable Swedish climate activist, Greta Thunberg also led a flotilla, which was then captured by Israeli soldiers. But subsequently, all the flotillas which were captured by the Israeli government were released. Although, the most surprising and nonetheless significant turn of events, were the mass protests in Israel itself.
Israeli youngsters, orthodox Jews and many teens took to the streets to declare their contempt against the genocide committed in Gaza. As a result, this became a reflection of the truth - the occupation being a decision of a select few leaders and the nation’s citizens going against it. The protestors broke myths surrounding Jewish safety and have exhibited the Zionist propaganda being misused.
It is due to the worldwide effort to reinstate human rights and fight for the cause, that has made this victory transcending into a global one.
