In the early days of September 2025, the usually quiet country of Nepal received a global audience for its political tumult. International news systems flooded with footage from the anti-corruption protests which blurred a many number of significant social distinctions.

Spectators could barely distinguish where non-violence ended and violence began in the protests. On the other hand, what baffled viewers most was not the nature of the protests, but the protestors themselves - the nation’s youth. The participants majorly constituted of the GenZ division and their approach to bringing down a government, was creative to say the least.

Citizens dealt with the task at hand with such ease and jaunty attitudes that left fellow global youths smiling with pride at the GenZ’s capabilities. Nepal’s youth seemed to be making a statement to the GenZ critics worldwide in terms of action taking and ‘lack of seriousness’. The unity and solidarity with which they resisted the Nepalese capitalists left them running for their lives on the street.

A Corruption-Free Government - New Hope for Nepal?

The protests lasted not more than a 3-day span, during which time the parliament was burnt down. Once the government was demolished, the citizens proceeded to clean the country, removing the destruction caused during the protests. Following this, they elected an interim Prime Minister - Sushila Karki, who was previously the chief justice.

According to leading news reports, protest leaders and existing government officials arrived at  the decision through mutual agreement. Karki stated that she had not sought the position, but merely answering to people’s interest and decisions. She also pledged to build a corruption-free interim government until the 2026 elections.

Every global citizen can draw multiple reasonings from this historical political moment. The GenZ applied their rules of straightforwardness and solution-focused actions to alter their living conditions. It also issues warning signs to international capitalism on non-tolerance and a people’s revolution that is always just seconds away.

Finally, what are your specific thoughts and inferences from the Nepal protests? Also, a slight makeover has been given to the website - do check it out 🙂
