“All I can do is pray”

I might be prejudiced with the author, but seriously, the “Sea Prayer” is splendidly awesome. My heart did a double flip at the end - it was that beautiful. It doesn’t have a lot of grand language, but the man has caught the emotion precisely. There’s no denying that! The art in the book further enhances the writing. It's a poem about a refugee father and son.
“How I pray the sea knows this.”
If you like immigrant literature this will be a gem that you will treasure. Even if you haven’t read any in the genre I recommend you read it.
