First of all, I am glad the poll worked out in the favour of this book. And great timing too, I never really understood why I didn’t read it, it was sitting right there on my shelf, until now. It was a great read to say the least. It was a novel, but a fable as it says in the cover, had the format of a play, and was an organic whole like poetry. It was really perfect!
A very refreshing and mind opening read. I would certainly recommend it to a friend. The metaphors were very unique and the author has centered the book in a desert. He found poetry and soulfulness in the endless desert horizon. It was also a personal connection for me in terms of religion being it the Arabs, but the shepherd boy offers a relationship to any and all readers.
Let me know about your perspectives, previous readers and if you haven’t read it yet, you are in for a real treat.
