People say that a good book leaves you speechless. That is exactly what “To Kill A Mockingbird” by Harper Lee did for me. With a light-hearted nature, the author conveys heavy literary and social themes such as racism and class through the eyes of a little girl. Her fascination at the social norms and raw emotions towards how they functioned provide a fresh perspective to us accustomed adults.
The binaries between right and wrong being challenged through her innocence is another literary element to admire in the book. It’s been a while since I connected so well with a book, and now I understand the fuss for Harper Lee’s writing. I couldn’t find any imperfections and look forward to reading her other sequel…
